Eco Lanta Hideaway Beach Resort

The location at the beach is really nice.

The accommodation had a severe and persistent pest infestation, with cockroaches and millipedes appearing nightly throughout our nine-day stay, including inside our baby's milk bottle, on children's toys, and even within the mosquito nets above our beds. When we reported this to the manager, he denied the problem existed, refused to offer an alternative bungalow or price reduction, and dismissed our concerns by claiming insects were unavoidable in nature. Despite pesticide treatment on day eight, the infestation worsened that night with approximately 15 insects appearing throughout the bungalow, forcing us to find and pay for alternative accommodation. There is also nothing ECO about that place. Trash-piles are lying everywhere and the flimsy bungalow constructs forces you to keep the AC running at all times.

This property is located at an amazing location right on a beautiful beach. It has a great restaurant and massage parlor, both very affordable. Staff is great.

Facilities are very basic-bamboo huts with steep levels and super basic shower. Lots of biting bugs and critters inside. Very poor AC.

Right on Long Beach. Chill little cabanas. Having motorbike was nice at that location.

The cabanas could use some work and bug proofing. If your expectations are t high it’s perfect!

Beach access

No pool as advertised. The room had piles dirt in closet corners never swept very good. I didn’t like that the shower taps had big holes and you can see outside when having showers. I didn’t like that I paid for a hotel that was supposed to have a pool and this place doesn’t have a pool. The broken plastic pool is just an above ground not a hotel type pool. The air conditioner doesn’t work its like a fan in your room. The water pressure- well i could never get soap out of my hair as its not strong enough. Very disappointing as its too expensive for the conditions. We book hotels by having a pool and air conditioning. The advertising needs to be updated so others don’t find out theres no pool at all to us!!! The restaurant is highly priced and so we alway went down the beach to eat. They need to lower the prices. Positive not is the you girl that does reception is so sweet and deserves a raise.

There was No TV, Pool, or evening entertainment everything closed up at 6:00 pm. When we ordered food and drinks most of our choices were not available. The amenities listed were not available. There was a room safe but not usable.

Not suitable for family with babies and toddlers, it was our mistake to book this property. However it is a great place to chill- super relaxed, on the beach, wooden shacks. Just wasn’t what we needed

nice bamboo bungalows, quite unique experience. they are just few meters from the beach, restaurant, and massage services.front-beach sunbeds are kept only for hotel guests. this is a great confort. you just go out from your bungaloow and in no time you are relaxing at the beach confortably! walking along the beach you also have many more options for restaurants / beach spots. so the location is also great. the staff was very welcoming, and we could also rent motorbike directly at the reception desk.

everything was amazing. I am not sure why some reviews mention cleanness is not good. I mean it is an Eco resort in the nature, in Thailand, how would you not expect to see some insects / flies / bugs casually during your stay - if you want that you'd rather go to the nice fancy hotel in the city :)

Lovely location right next to the beach and plenty of sun beds. Nice bungalow. Right next to a great massage place

The staff were not particularly friendly other than the man who serves breakfast, who was lovely. The food was not good in the restaurant so we always ate elsewhere

The whole place seems a bit rundown, neglected & unloved.The bungalows are very dark inside & need repairing.Hopefully someone will see the potential and invest some time & money into maintenance.Had to wait ages in the restaurant for service at lunchtime. The staff seemed slightly annoyed if they were asked for anything which was a shame!Some more sunbeds on the beach and repairing the existing ones would be a great idea!

Cool bamboo huts, nice decor & space inside & outside seating. This place brought back good memories of my younger back backing days in Thailand 30 years ago. Staff nice & friendly too. Right in front of the beach & beautiful sunsets, near enough to the more lively part of Long Beach but still quiet.

Reviews say it’s quite run down. We liked the rustic feel of this place but don’t go here if you like everything brand new & modern. Food in restaurant not so good but good for drinks & helpful stuff staff.

Excellent location about 100 meters from the beach. The bungalows are good for how simple they are. If you are interested in booking this property have the mindset that you are camping. There will be some bugs and some mosquitoes but they provide mosquito nets and means for you to mitigate them. Massage is available on the property overlooking the beach, better than average massage peaceful and private area.

There are locals that live behind some of the bungalows, they can be load in the late evening.

The bungalow isn’t sealed. At all. You can see the ground through the cracks in the floorboards and walls . Holes In the screens. So many biting creatures. Woke up daily with new bites even with the mosquito net ( which was always in our faces and had holes)

room is run down, but main issue is that I had mice in my room! had holes in a a bag and in my sock. complained but was answered by putting a tarp in my room. Not acceptable and no one to talk with that had full command of the English language

Review reffering to the Dome.Lights out side was off every night. Was hard to get up the stairs. Room was disappointed: Facilities weren't good enough, we had to ask for a kettle which was missing as well to beach towels, the A.C couldn't get over the room and it was impossible to stay in during day time.Fridge wasn't working to.We could use a shelf or a stand for our things, for stating 5 nights like us - wasn't ideal.Having that said, anything we asked from staff was answer. But some things they cannot change, like the wrong A.C for this kind of room.

The location was the best asset to this resort. Located on Long Beach with fabulous turquoise sea, ideal for swimming, a lovely sandy beach with sun beds and shade and the most stunning sunsets ever! The huts were adequate, but basic. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

The accommodation, although adequate, was run down and over priced. We had mice rummaging around at night, which were dealt with, but I also got badly bitten and it wasn't until I left that I realized it had been bed bugs, not mosquitos, causing the problem! The restaurant on site was beautifully located on the beach and the staff were friendly but the food wasn't great and it was more expensive than other places around.The beach side massage business was great though!

The location is lovely. Right on gorgeous Long Beach, with a very friendly cafe and good food in the restaurant. All the staff were excellent. The layout of the huts is good - plenty of space between them.

We’re a couple in our early 70s, reasonably fit and fairly well travelled. But the huts were far too uncomfortable for us. Very high steps to get in the hut, then an even higher step to access the double bed which is on a platform on the floor. Insects and bugs, of various kinds are present. I had a replacement mosquito net the second night, which made a difference. It’s more like rough camping, in our view. Lots of young families there who were having a wonderful time.

The list is extensive, the place is in need of some serious maintenance, the aircon sometimes works, the water is hot some rooms, the general electrics in the rooms and around the resort were unpredictable. Most of the staff, while very helpful primarily, were not particularly interested or happy.
